Padma Lakshmi Bio

Padma Parvati Lakshmi (born September 1st 1970) was born in Chennai. Lakshmi lost her parents when she was just two years old. Her mother left India to escape the stigma associated with divorce in India and emigrated to the United States. Lakshmi was a resident for two years with her maternal grandparents in Chennai, before she came to the United States. Her parents divorced later, and she now has a younger half-brother and half sister from her father. Lakshmi, who has a last name with the Hindu goddess of prosperity and wealth was born in New York and then in Los Angeles with her mother and stepfather. She would visit India for a short period of time each year to visit relatives. Padma Lakshmi started acting in 1999. She first appeared in the movie "Figlio di Sandokan" which was an Italian pirate film. Next, she appeared in "Caraibi", an epic drama about 17th century pirates. In 2001, she portrayed an amusing part in the American movie 'Glitter,' as a disco singer. Padma is married to Adam Dell, a venture capitalist, and has one daughter, Krishna Thea Lakshmi Dell. Krishna was born on the 20th of February the 20th of February, 2010. She also had a relationship with Teddy Forstmann (ex-chairman, CEO of IMG). Lakshmi is currently dating American venture capitalist Adam Dell and the pair share a daughter, Krishna. Lakshmi disclosed that her daughter's father is Dell. "Everything is better with her around," she said of her daughter. From the beginning to the final day, everything is possible. I have no interest in any other than her.
