In 2011, Ashley was cast to portray Jessica Finch in the family comedy Judy Moody and the Not Bummer Summer and was recognized in 2012, when she was the role was given to her voice as well as rats in the hit animated adventure comedy Ernest & Celestine that starred Forest Whitaker Lambert Wilson and Pauline Brunner and follows the friendship of Ernest the bear and Celestine the mouse. This movie was nominated and received 29 awards which included the Oscar being among them.
