Rena Sherel SOFER

Rena Sherel Sfer is an American actor from America. She is most well-known for her appearances on American daytime TV, occasional guest appearances on television and made-for-television films. Sofer was presented with an Daytime Emmy Award by CBS in 1995 for playing Lois Cerullo, the role she played in the soap-opera General Hospital. Since 2013, she's played Quinn Fuller on the CBS soap opera The Bold and The Beautiful. Sofer was the daughter of Susan Sofer (a psychologist professor) and Martin Sofer (a Conservative rabbi). Following the divorce of her parents, her family moved to Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania. In 1970, Sofer and her brother David and father to Teaneck in New Jersey. They lived in Western Pennsylvania when Sofer was five years old. They resided in Ambridge, Pennsylvania, where her father directed the Beth Samuels Jewish Center. She attended the Frisch School, an coeducational Mordern Orthodox Jewish highschool in Paramus (New Jersey). Sofer lived in North Bergen, New Jersey and her father was Rabbi of the synagogue Temple Beth El. After finishing her studies at North Bergen High School she was a student at Montclair State College. Sofer was Lois Marie Cerullo for the first time on General Hospital. Her first appearance was in 1993, as a band manager. However, her first high-profile part was that of Rocky McKenzie on the daytime soap drama Loving (1988-91). Most well-known is her appearance on General Hospital as Lois Cerullo (December 15, 1993 – September 24 1996). Then, she appeared as guest-starring on the show (February 7-17 1997 from September 30th through October 2nd 1997). In 1995, Sofer won a Daytime Emmy Award for Outstanding Supporting Actress on a Drama Series for her portrayal of Lois. Sofer was asked to be a part of CBS' soap show The Bold and the Beautiful in the new role as Quinn Fuller. Her first episode aired July 12. Sofer has appeared on several high-profile prime time television series in a supporting cast member or guest star rolessuch as Seinfeld, Melrose Place, The Chronicle, Ed, Friends, Spin City, Blind Justice, Ghost Whisperer, 24, NCIS, and Two and a Half Men.
